Lipomas are small fatty lumps made up of fat tissue which has moved outside its normal plane, they are often felt as a soft swelling which is often very mobile.

Pilar cysts: These are overgrowths of skin cells. They grow around hair follicles and usually appear on the scalp. They are yellow or white and form dome shape bumps held together in a little sac. They can grow in size and become infected.
